Mark Taylor

Mark is the Owner and Head Trainer at Acer Gundog Training Ltd.

He is fully qualified and accredited by both The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and The Gundog Club.

Mark describes his training methods as evidence-based and practical. His training is delivered in easily achievable steps, designed to suit each dog. This structured way of training provides the best framework for owners achieving success with their dogs. 

Since he started the company in 2015, Mark and his training team have helped thousands of owners to train their gundogs. He says one of the most rewarding sides of his job is working with customers over a number of years, culminating in them taking their dog out on a successful day’s shooting.

Whilst he still hosts training sessions himself, most of Mark’s time is now spent mentoring new gundog trainers.

Mark shares his life with his wife and young daughters, plus his two working Labradors, Inca and Rosie. During the shooting season, they are out picking-up several times each week.
